A season bursting with operations at the Port of Ceuta

With summer beyond the horizon and after successfully closing the relevant Paso del Estrecho Operation - the main maritime operation in Europe as far as passenger traffic is concerned - the agencies in the port of Ceuta start the new season with a planning full of operations.

Beyond the usual operations of assistance to cargo ships, bunkering and supplies for private vessels, the Salama team faces this month of October with a new operation, assisting the Oosterdam ocean liner once again.

After the stopovers on the 19th of May, 6th of July and 23rd of August, this impressive cruise, part of the Holland America Line company, will visit the port of Ceuta for the fourth time, choosing Salama as its port agency for delivering documentation, bunkering and provisioning. This layover will occur after the technical stops taking place these days in Marseille (France) and Almeria.

Although the arrival of the cruise to the Autonomous City is scheduled for the next 17th of October, our offices are at full capacity and already prepared so that the Oosterdam’s stopover is carried out with the maximum possible efficiency and without any mishaps.

With an eye on 2017

With little over two and a half months to say good-bye to 2016, the Salamateam already has its sights set on 2017. The reason? The confirmation of technical and administrative assistance for two new reference vessels such as the Pacific Princess and the Weesterdam. What are these vessels’ featured characteristics?

Pacific Princess

The first transatlantic cruise stopover of the year coordinated by the Salama team will be the Pacific Princess. With a brief stop scheduled for the early morning of the 14th of March, 2017, the Pacific Princess is a cruise ship that has pretty much everything (from a Spa to a golf course) and a capacity of up to 2,000 passengers.

Weesterdam

Although it has its own name, the fact is that the Weesterdam is known as the Oosterdam’s twin brother. With practically the same specifications in size and capacity, having more than a thousand passengers on board, this ship is also very impressive.

After including Ceuta in its stopover plans, the cruise ship will visit the Autonomous City in the months of June (11th), July (29th) and August (a stop that is scheduled for the 15th).
