Salama kicks off the cruise season by welcoming the Pacific Princess

Less than a week before the end of May (and with it, the countdown towards the long-awaited summer), Salama sets its engines to full capacity to welcome the cruise season in the city of Ceuta.

This season that was officially inaugurated weeks ago, with the visit of the Pacific Princess Cruise Ship, and will continue with the arrival of other top-rated cruises, such as the Oosterdam and the Westerdam, in the coming months of May and June.

A regular guest at the Port of Ceuta, the Pacific Princess was received by our Port agency in Ceuta during its short stay in the city last April 14th. This is a ship is labelled as a "luxury cruise", with a total of 81 meters in length and more than 5 meters deep. And its capacity? No less than six hundred and seventy passengers (an amount that increases to a thousand when adding the crew who work and live aboard the ship).

This impressive giant of the seas offers almost anything one might imagine. In addition to having 330 cabins, 52 mini-suites, 10 private suites, 170 cabins with an impressive balcony and many other interior ones, the liner offers Jacuzzis, swimming pools, casinos, discos and numerous bars and restaurants with an amazing gastronomic offer.

On its way from the Port of Trapani (Italy) and bound for the beautiful city of Portimao (Portugal), the Pacific Princess received the best treatment from our bunkering company in Ceuta. A fast and well executed operation assisted the ship during the ten hours of its technical layover.

A season that has only just begun

This first stopover, made by the luxurious Pacific Princess at Ceuta’s España Pier, inaugurated the cruise season for our agency. During this coming month of May, Salama will also receive the transatlantic Oosterdam’s second stopover, out of four scheduled at our Port. The impressive ship will be staying in the Port of Ceuta next May 19th, carrying more than 1,500 passengers (1,775 in transit).

In June, and only a few days after the start of the summer season, our North African port will welcome the Westerdam with the help of our technical staff. This layover is scheduled for June 11th.

Considered to be “the Oosterdam’s twin brother", the Westerdam (part of the Holland America Line) is almost three hundred meters long and has a capacity of almost two thousand passengers (crew included).
