The importance of contracting a reference bunkering agency

Salama, ourbunkering agency in Ceuta, has been a reference fuel supply company from ship to ship in the Strait of Gibraltar for years. This supply requires certain protocols and precautions that guarantee a seamless and top-quality service. Therefore, at our company we work to add to our expertise backed up by thousands of operations— both the advances of the sector and the latest technological novelties.

The combination of these aspects is essential for the contracting of a reference bunkering agency in Ceuta Port. On one hand, we have the necessary knowledge —provided by more than one hundred years of experience— in the supplying of any type of boat. On the other hand, we have made the most of this knowledge to carry out the necessary managing and processing changes and to design efficient and flexible refuel ship operations in the Strait.

We have managed all this basing the different stages of our work on competitive quality and technological safety standards and on personnel highly qualified in bunkering. With these guaranties, more and more ships are trusting and contracting the services of our ship port agency in the Strait of Gibraltar, which also offers other services, like spare parts service, crew change, documentation, supplying services for ships...

IBI: new faces, new challenges

On the other hand, the most importantyearly bunkering convention of the sector (International Bunkery Industry Association or IBIA), celebrated last month in London, displayed its strength before the challenges of a sector we are proud to belong to. During the event, the IBIA expressed its interest to create new headquarters in America and in the Middle East, and to implement improvements on the corporate website and a new membership management system.

Finally, Michael Green (Intertek Shipcare) was presented as the new president of the IBIA replacing Robin Meech (Marine and Energy Consulting), who will be leaving his post next April 2019, after the maximum available time

The convention, which started at The Naval Club 38 Hill Street of London and continued with a gala dinner at Grosvenor House, served the purpose to strengthen ties and sign new collaboration agreements with different agents of the bunkering  sectors, like fuel suppliers, storage companies, traders and equipment manufacturers from more than 80 countries.
